No. Age gives a starting band. NAS also discusses readiness, confidence, routines, programme availability and the relevant school-year cut-off.

Junior KG is commonly called LKG. NAS uses Junior KG on the website and includes LKG so families can recognise the equivalent term.

Senior KG is commonly called UKG. Both terms describe the older kindergarten stage before primary school.
