Age is a starting point

Children of the same age can differ in language, separation comfort, independence, attention and social confidence. The admission conversation looks at fit without turning childhood into a test.

  • Ask how the relevant programme supports the next developmental step.
  • Confirm the applicable school-year cut-off with the office.

The five-stage NAS path

Each stage grows from the one before it while keeping learning active, social and age-fit.

  • Mother-Toddler: together, sense and trust.
  • Playgroup: settle, sense and trust.
  • Nursery: talk, pretend and belong.
  • Junior KG: make, sort and wonder.
  • Senior KG: listen, count and try.

For anything that changes by year, such as fees or availability, the office gives you the current answer.

No. Age gives a starting band. We also discuss readiness, confidence, routines, programme availability and the relevant school-year cut-off.

Junior KG is commonly called LKG. We use Junior KG on the website and include LKG so you can recognise the equivalent term.

Senior KG is commonly called UKG. Both terms describe the older kindergarten stage before primary school.
